Volunteer Opportunities 

2021- 22 Season

Have you considered what you can do to help our Pickleball Club?

Our daily ability to play the sport we all love does not happen without our many volunteers.  We need your help.  Everyone can make a contribution and be a part of this fantastic Club.  Most of our jobs can be done with a partner to share responsibilities.  Please step up today!



Director- Court Utilization

  • Responsible for developing a court utilization schedule for all players (completed for the 2021-22 Season)
  • Chair a committee made up of representatives from all levels to evaluate the schedule and recommend changes to the Board.
  • Recruit members for this committee
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet development helpful
  • Report to Vice-President and Executive Board

Director- Organized Play

  • Responsible for recruiting, training and assigning Leads for Organized Play events
  • Responsible for the check-in process for these events
  • Maintain the Lead Tables for daily use
  • Act as a member of the Court Utilization Committee
  • Report to the Vice-President and the Executive Board

Representative- Court Utilization Committee

  • Attend 3-4 meetings per season as determined by the Director of Court Utilization.
  • Act as a liaison to your own play level group and the Director of Court Utilization
  • Must be a regular participant in Round Robin Play

Round Robin "Training" Leads

  • 2.0, 2.5, and some 3.0 levels
  • Facilitate RR's along with helping to develop the skills of participants

Round Robin "Playing" Leads

  • Check in players at Pavilion prior to scheduled play
  • Determine the number of courts needed and work with other Leads during your time slot to best utilize available courts
  • Keep Round Robin moving and "on-time"

Welcome Table Volunteers

  • Assist members with needs and answer questions 
  • Distribute member stickers to paid members
  • Be a pleasant, welcoming face to new members

Pavilion Check-in Volunteer

  • Assist with the check-in of RR players at the Pavilion (45 min. commitment)

Assistant Tournaments Logistics Coordinator

  • Assist the Logistics Coordinator for Member's and Duel in the Desert Tournaments
  • On the job training provided

***September 25 Update***
The Pavilion portion is nearing completion. PC is doing the Electrical work including putting the overhead wires underground.

Pavers for the floor are Next. First week of October the Pergola section gets delivered. Wil-Paul will return to finish interior walls.Then the Club will do remaining interior finish work.

The APP Tour is coming to Palm Creek!

APP  - Association of Professional Players

You have seen them live streamed and on YouTube; now you can watch and meet them in person. 
Mark your calendars for December 1- 5, 2021 and make plans to be back in Palm Creek for this historic event.

This USAP sanctioned tournament includes both skill/age as well as Pro and Sr Pro and Super Senior Division events.

Membership Renewals - Dues

Club Membership Renewals have been emailed ……Current Members have until September 20th to renew.

Current Members will receive an Email with Renewal Information and a Link to Pay Your Dues for the 2021-2022 Pickleball Season.

Membership Dues: the Pickleball Club continues to invest in balls, maintenance, equipment, training, volunteers and facilities. Membership dues are $25.00 per person, per season.
